Female Vlogger in Hot Water for Taking ‘Ligo Challenge’ Stunt
A female vlogger receives a huge amount of criticism online for taking TikTok ‘Ligo Challenge’ while driving on a motorcycle.
The lady social media influencer named Norme Garcia has shared the video of herself together with her colleague Black Asta performing the ‘Ligo Challenge’. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that the vlogger is having a bath with her colleague while driving a motorcycle, which is an extremely dangerous stunt. The ‘ligo challenge’ is a trend where people take a bath while supposed to be doing something else, like dancing or modeling.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) together with the National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) invited the vlogger for interrogation. The authorities withheld the TikTok personality’s name.
“The influencer was informed of her violations and awaits administrative sanctions after the exhaustion of the legal process,” LTO Region XI Matalim stated.
LTO XI Regional Director Neil M. Canedo also sent Regional Law Enforcement Section Head Thomas Edward Roales and a team to investigate.
The female personality has also issued an apology for her action and cooperated with the police authorities. As of this writing, there are charges filed against the personality.
HPG advised Filipino motorists to avoid similar challenges to avoid violating the traffic rules and regulations.
“Maigting na ipinagbabawal sa publiko ang pag gawa ng ganitong klasing content/vlog. Ito ay maituturing na Reckless Driving sa ilalim ng RA No. 4136, Driving without Helmet sa RA No. 10054 at Distracted Driving sa RA No. 10913 na may karampatang parusa at multa, bukod pa sa maaaring pagkansela ng lisensya,” HPG wrote on its post.
