5 Thousand Cash Aid of Department of Education to All Teachers

Department of Education instructors will get a monetary stipend of P5,000 when classes resume on Monday, August 22.

The P5,000 cash allowance for teachers to use in the upcoming school year has been directed to be released “as soon as possible” by the Regional offices (ROs) of the Department of Education (DepEd). ACT National Capital Region (NCR) Union posted a memo dated August 4 and signed by Undersecretary of Finance (OUF) Annalyn Sevilla on its Facebook page.

According to the report of GMA news that the aforementioned advisory provided details on how the teacher’s cash allowance would be processed and paid for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022.

We would like to announce na sa pasukan, August 22, we will be giving our teachers ‘yung tinatawag nating cash allowance na P5,000,” DepEd spokesperson Michael Poa said in a presscon.

Poa claimed that it would support and assist the teachers as they returned to the classroom. “Lahat po ng teachers makakatanggap. Ibababa po ‘yan, I think doon sa school’s divisions, I’ll confirm pero lahat po ay makakatanggap by August 22,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Pagbabago bags, which contain hygiene kits and school supplies, will now be distributed to more locations, according to the Office of the Vice President (OVP). The report mentioned that they intend to expand the operation as long as we have materials that they can disperse, particularly in areas that desperately need hygiene kits and school supplies. Reynold Munsayac OVP spokesperson said.

Munsayac added that from August 3 to August 16, 17,458 passengers utilized the OVP’s Libreng Sakay. The spokesperson added that from July 1 to August 17, the OVP processed P63.4 million in medical and burial assistance.

He stated that there were 4,955 beneficiaries in total. Munsayac claims that out of the P63.4 million, more than P57 million went toward medical assistance and more than P5 million went toward assistance with funeral expenses.
