Last 2019, amid the raging rumors about the real score between Kapuso actress Maine Mendoza and Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde, the former bravely confirmed their relationship. This is despite all the despise they were getting from her fans over their pairing.
One reason was that fans remained hopeful about the possible romance between Mendoza and her ex-love team Alden Richards. However, AlDub was just fictional and Maine’s reality was with Atayde. They were bashed but over time, seeing their idol happy, these fans who despised them once now became supporters of their real pair-up.

And now, over two years since the confirmation of their relationship, the two made another major announcement – a milestone in their relationship – they are finally engaged!
