Lea Salonga is part of a Hollywood series
Broadway diva Lea Salonga talked about how she got her role in American series Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin.
Throughout her career, Lea’s achievements have become an inspiration to many people. She has dominated the theater stages in the Philippines and abroad. Her singing and acting career is celebrated by her fans for many years now.
Currently, Lea will let the whole world see her acting prowess in a television series. In her recent article for her column in Inquirer, Lea Salonga shared her journey towards this amazing TV project in Hollywood.
She said that for the longest time, she is being silent about this project. However, now, she is giving her fans a chance to know some details of her upcoming show. The Pinay celebrity shared the names of her co-stars.
“Our new group of Liars are played by Bailee Madison (Imogen), Chandler Kinney (Tabby), Maia Reficco (Noa), Malia Pyles (Mouse) and Zaria (Faran). Playing their moms are Carly Pope (Davie), Sharon Leal (Sydney), Elena Goode (Marjorie), Zakiya Young (Corey) and yours truly (Elodie),” Lea wrote.
She also revealed that there are more characters in the show such as Mallory Bechtel (Karen/Kelly), Carson Rowland (Chip), Jordan Gonzalez (Ash), Alex Aiono (Shawn), Elias Kacavas (Greg), Ben Cook (Henry) and Eric Johnson (Sheriff Beasley).
Then, the award-winning theater actress shared her audition journey. Lea revealed that she auditioned for the role on September 1, 2021. Her audition video was recorded from her living room in Manila. Her manager Josh Pultz was her scene partner.
In a span of eight days, Lea got the audition result and she’s in. On September 9, her manager had a funny way of breaking the good news to her. Josh called Lea asking her advice on a certain situation. “I need some advice on how to tell a client she just booked a TV series,” the manager said to Lea Salonga. The Broadway diva screamed with excitement after a few moments of silence.
