Lea Salonga caught netizens’ attention through this heartwarming song
Actress-singer Lea Salonga sang the popular inspiring song The Prayer at the 2022 National Memorial Day Concert as a way of honoring the fallen and their families in the US.
Lea has paved her way to the international music scene years ago. Until now, she is soaring high with all the achievements that she has when it comes to her career as a singer and a theater actress.
The Filipina artist also did several projects on mainstream media. She was one of the judges/mentors of The Voice Philippines for several seasons. Then, one of her latest acting stints is the Pretty Little Liars reboot.
Just recently, Lea Salonga caught the attention of the online community when she performed The Prayer on a TV special dubbed “A Night of Remembrance,” which was aired on PBS Network on May 29.
Based on the report from Manila Bulletin, the event is to remember, heal, and bring the nation together “in honoring our men and women in uniform, their families at home, and all who have given their lives for our country.”
In the US, Memorial Day commemorates the sacrifices of US service members, including those who died on the battlefield. On the Instagram account of Lea Salonga, the National Memorial Day Concert tagged her in the video of her amazing performance.
