The movie has been receiving negative reactions from critics of the Marcoses. Many people are saying that this is “revisionism” and that the movie is trying to change what was written in history books.

On the other hand, supporters of the Marcoses are already excitedly anticipating the release of the movie on August 3. They are waiting to watch the side of the story highlighting the side of the Marcoses.

Just recently, the controversial movie once again received negative feedback. It was alleged that Liza Soberano was supposed to play Imee Marcos in the movie. However, Vincentiments clarified that there is no truth to this.

In a Facebook post, the production company said that the rumors are being spread by “Kakampink” and the actress can either deny or confirm this. Vincentiments clarified that this is pure “tsismis.”

In the movie, actress Cristine Reyes plays the role of Imee Marcos. The production company stressed that aside from being an artist of Viva, Cristine is the personal choice of the Senator.

Previously, Sen. Imee commended the performance of Cristine in the movie. She said that the actress was “nakakainis” for doing a great job in portraying her role realistically.

In the post of Vincentiments about the rumors that Liza Soberano was offered to be part of the movie, it said, “Merong kwento pero walang kwenta. Sawa nang gumawa ng paninira kaya bumuo ng istorya – para makisakay sa #MaidinMalacanang.”
