Imee Marcos shared her reaction to the performance of Cristine Reyes in ‘Maid In Malacanang’

Senator Imee Marcos said that she felt “inis” towards actress Cristine Reyes because of this particular reason.

Cristine portrays the character of Sen. Imee in the movie Maid in Malacanang under Viva Films, written and directed by Darryl Yap. In a previous interview, the actress shared what happened during her first meeting with the lawmaker.

Cristine said that she was really observant of the Senator’s gestures and movements because she wanted to portray the character as realistic as she can. Just recently, the official trailer of Maid in Malacanang was released and this garnered various reactions from netizens.

During the recent press conference that was held for the movie, Sen. Imee Marcos joined the cast. She shared her reaction to Cristine’s performance in the movie, based on the article in Bandera. The lawmaker admitted that the actress is “nakakainis” for her.

Naiinis nga ako rito kay Cristine ang galing manggaya. Ang creepy na nga ng dating dahil pati ‘yung pangit na paglalakad ko gayang-gaya niya,” the Senator enthused.

Cristine laughed at this comment from the lawmaker about her performance in the movie. The actress also thanked the Senator for her all-out support for her while they were shooting for the movie. Cristine even shared that Sen. Imee lent her the white dress that she was wearing during the media conference.

Meanwhile, aside from Sen. Imee Marcos, Cristine Reyes also received praise from the director of the movie. Direk Darryl Yap admitted that he is now a fan of the actress.

Super fan na talaga ako ni Cristine dahil sa galing niya sa ginawa naming pelikulang ito. Ibang klase ang ipinakita niya rito,” the director-writer said.

Maid in Malacanang will be released on August 3 worldwide. The movie also features Cesar Montano, Ruffa Gutierrez, Diego Loyzaga, Ella Cruz, Karla Estrada, Elizabeth Oropesa, Beverly Salviejo, and Robin Padilla.
