Will Toni Gonzaga transfer to AMBS?
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz said that actress-host Toni Gonzaga is set to have her new noontime show on the Advance Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) channel.
Following reports that business tycoon Manny Villar has acquired the frequency previously occupied by ABS-CBN, rumors have been circulating that Toni is being offered to be part of the new network.
It was even rumored that Toni will hold an executive position in Villar’s network. Rumor has it that she will like the Charo Santos of AMBS. Previously, veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin shared that the wife of filmmaker Paul Soriano will have two shows on Villar’s network.
However, rumors also said that Toni Gonzaga will have an executive position in PTV4, the flagship state broadcaster owned by the Government of the Philippines. This speculation came after the election as Toni and Paul are close to new President Bongbong Marcos.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of Ogie Diaz, he mentioned that Toni will have a noontime show on AMBS. Ogie’s co-host Mama Loi said that AMBS is already in the process of conceptualizing a noontime show.
Mama Loi said that three cinemas in Star Mall were converted to studios, one is for Willie Revillame, one is for the noontime show, and the other one is probably for other shows.
“Sino kaya ang mga nandoon sa noontime show na iyon?” Mama Loi asked. Ogie answered, “Yun ang ating aalamin. Pero feeling ko lang, kasi nandiyan na si Korina Sanchez,” the talent manager said adding that rumor has it that the seasoned broadcaster was ordered to recruit talents.
Mama Loi said that Korina has denied this rumor. Then, Ogie Diaz said that according to the information that reached him, it was Toni Gonzaga who will be in AMBS’s noontime show.
As of this writing, the management of Villar’s network and Toni haven’t released any statement yet regarding this matter.
