Lovi Poe cried during ‘Flower of Evil’ press conference
Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe admitted that her first taping day for the series Flower of Evil with Piolo Pascual was not easy.
Lovi has been under GMA for several years before she finally decided to transfer to ABS-CBN last year. Her first project is the Filipino adaptation of the South Korean drama with the same title.
In a recent press conference for this new project, Lovi received praises from Viu Philippines content development manager Garlic Garcia. ABS-CBN and Viu have previously inked a deal for collaborations.
Garcia said that the Kapamilya actress really worked hard. “There were hard days on set, but what’s important is she never gave up and she kept wanting to give more and more and more. I honor her for that,” the media executive said.
At that point of the presscon, Lovi Poe was emotional. With this, Robi Domingo, the event’s host, asked the Kapamilya actress why she cried. While wiping her tears, Lovi said, “Ever since, I’ve been a huge fan of ABS-CBN and Dreamscape, so just to be given the opportunity to work with such an amazing team, it’s just great. It’s my first project (with ABS-CBN), so the transition wasn’t the easiest thing.”
She said that her first day on the set was really difficult. It is because, after so many years, she is now in a new environment. “Everything’s new, everyone’s new. It was hard,” she said. The following days were the same as she felt like she wasn’t herself.
“I was having such a hard time, but with the help of everyone, it felt great,” the actress said, adding that audio man Kuya Adler and cameraman Kuya Fred helped her to feel at home. Because of this, Lovi Poe realized that she is a part of a new family now and everyone wants to see her do well.
