Vice President-Elect Sara Duterte Reveals Total Campaign Expenses

SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President-Elect filed her Statement of Contribution and Expenditures (SOCE) revealing her expenses during the campaign for Elections 2022.

The vice-presidential bid of outgoing Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio is victorious. It was a landslide victory for the presidential daughter who garnered more than 31 million votes in the Elections 2022.

Duterte-Carpio ran under the national political party Lakas-CMD. Her candidacy earned the support of several other big political parties including the PDP-Laban Cusi wing of which her father, outgoing President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, is a member.

Duterte-Carpio is set to assume office at the noontime of June 30. Her team has already talked with the staff at the Office of the Vice President (OVP) for the transition.

Whether a candidate won or lost during the elections, he or she must file his or her Statement of Contributions and Expenditures. More commonly called SOCE, it reveals the contributions received by the candidate, both in cash and goods, for the campaign and as well as the total and the sources of campaign expenses.

Vice President-elect Sara Duterte has filed her SOCE that revealed her total campaign expenses in the Elections 2022. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the total expenditures of the vice president-elect amounted to P216,190,935.06. This was incurred using in-kind contributions.

Vice President-Elect Sara Duterte stated in her SOCE that spent no personal funds for her campaign. She also claimed that she did not receive any cash contributions. The in-kind contributions came from her political party and other sources.

Aside from being the country’s incoming vice president, Duterte-Carpio is also set to lead the Department of Education (DepEd). She vowed to work on producing learners who are motivated to reach their full potential and have a love for the country.
