Sara Duterte Gives Message for Bongbong Marcos over DepEd Appointment

Bongbong Marcos Wants Sara Duterte as Education Secretary

SARA DUTERTE – The presumptive Vice President gave a message to presumptive president Bongbong Marcos over his plan to appoint her to the Department of Education (DepEd).

Although the results of the National Elections 2022 are still partial and unofficial, the frontrunners of the presidential and vice-presidential race are taking a huge margin from the candidates whose votes come next to theirs. For the presidential election, former Senator Bongbong Marcos is taking the lead.

For the vice-presidential race, presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is leading. The camp of Marcos Jr. previously announced victory citing that the automated canvassing of votes has reached 98% and the former Senator is taking a 16 million lead.

Following his camp’s announcement of their victory, presumptive president Bongbong Marcos revealed that he wants presumptive vice president Sara Duterte-Carpio to take the helm of the education department.

Presumptive vice president Sara Duterte-Carpio accepted the appointment as the education secretary. Based on a report, she thanked presumptive president Bongbong Marcos as she welcomed his appointment although the initial talks circled around the Department of National Defense as the area where she will be assigned.

According to Mayor Duterte, she knows that the people who are just waiting for the new administration to fail “will fabricate intrigues” about her loyalty and the position in the defense department to allegedly break the UniTeam.

Based on the report, she also thanked outgoing DepEd Sec. Leonor Briones for her dedication to her duties under the current administration.
