According to Senate Majority Leader Migz Zubiri, senator-elect Robin Padilla asked for the Committees on Constitutional Amendments and Public Information. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Zubiri expressed that he might head the said committees as nobody else wants to lead the said committee.

Padilla has always been vocal about his desire for some provisions in the Constitution to be changed. He is also one of those who are pushing for a federal government in the Philippines. According to Zubiri, the senator-elect might shine in the said committees as they are really his advocacies.

Based on the report, the Senate Majority Leader advises the incoming Senator to study legal terminologies and the 1987 Philippine Constitution as he wants to lead the Constitutional Amendments Committee. He also expressed that Padilla must study the revision of laws.

“Remember it also includes revision of laws, so laws that need to be revised and amended, especially those related to criminal law and other corporate law,” Zubiri expressed.
