Eric Eruption Tai Gets Emotional as He Shares Heartfelt Message About Son Legend’s Autism
ERIC TAI – Actor and host Eric “Eruption” Tai touched hearts online after opening up about raising his seven-year-old son, Legend, who has autism, and sharing a powerful message about love and acceptance.
Actor and host Eric “Eruption” Tai shared an emotional message about raising his seven-year-old son, Legend, who has autism, emphasizing the importance of acceptance, patience, and allowing children to embrace their individuality.
Eric posted a video of himself exercising with Legend using kettlebells. More than a simple father-and-son workout, the clip became an opportunity for him to celebrate his son’s personality and share meaningful lessons about parenthood.

Proudly introducing Legend, Eric revealed that the video was completed in just “1 TAKE” before expressing his love and admiration for his child.
“My son has autism. But first and foremost, he is my son. And he is Legend for a reason. ♥️”
Eric described Legend as a confident and expressive child who enjoys being in front of the camera and freely expressing himself. Watching his son grow and spending time together have brought the proud father immense happiness.
He explained that his responsibility as a parent is not to change Legend to fit society’s expectations. Instead, he wants to teach him essential life skills, build his confidence, and help him become the best version of himself.
The actor stressed that autism should never be considered a barrier to a child’s potential. Children on the spectrum can learn, grow, pursue their dreams, and bring happiness to the people around them.
Eric also encouraged parents raising children with autism to remain hopeful, patient, and supportive. He reminded them to appreciate even the smallest achievements, recognizing that every child develops at their own pace.

His heartfelt message comes amid renewed discussions about how people with special needs are treated, following the controversy involving Kris Aquino’s son, Josh Aquino.
The podcast Machong Chismisan faced public backlash over remarks that mocked Josh, who has special needs. The incident sparked criticism online and renewed conversations about the importance of treating individuals with disabilities and their families with dignity and respect.
Although Eric’s post centered on his own experience as a father, his message echoed the call for greater understanding and acceptance of people on the autism spectrum. He emphasized that a diagnosis should never overshadow a child’s personality, abilities, or individuality.
Eric reaffirmed that he and his wife would continue guiding and supporting Legend, helping him prepare for life’s challenges without forcing him to conform to society’s expectations.
He ended his message by expressing his unconditional love for his son and reminding parents that children do not have to be like everyone else to have a beautiful future.
For Eric, the most important thing is to help Legend grow into his own person while making sure he always knows that his family will stand by him.
