Ogie Diaz clarified something about LizQuen’s contract with ABS-CBN
Comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz revealed why reel and real life couple Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil, known as the LizQuen tandem, did not do any acting project for two years.
Ogie has been Liza’s manager for more than a decade until she was paired with Enrique and their onscreen partnership became successful. However, these past two years, the celebrity couple was inactive when it comes to doing acting projects on TV and in movies.
The most recent teleserye that they was Make It With You in 2022 while on the big screen the last project they did before their movie hiatus was Alone Together in 2019.
Ogie Diaz said that he is aware that he is being bashed by LizQuen fans as the couple has not done any acting project for two years. Based on the article in Balita, the comedian-talent manager said that the couple feared the pandemic.
As a manager, Ogie wanted the tandem to be busy with projects. “Sa totoo lang, as a manager, gusto kong maging busy yung alaga ko. Talagang bibigyan natin yan ng pelikula lalo na marami ang pini-pitch sa LizQuen,” he said.
He added that it just so happened that the LizQuen did not feel that it was the right timing and this was the reason why they did not accept any project.
“Tapos nabusy sila sa kanilang negosyo. Pero syempre hindi naman nila nakakalimutan yung mga fans na naghihintay sa kanila,” Ogie added.
Ogie Diaz also said that Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil felt that ABS-CBN and Star Cinema did not fall short when it comes to the projects being pitched to them.
The talent manager revealed that Liza has decided to change her manager. She is now being managed by James Reid and his team.
