Liza Soberano is no longer under the management of Ogie Diaz
Comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz revealed that actress Liza Soberano decided to have a new manager after 11 years of being handled by him.
Liza started her career in the entertainment industry with Ogie as her manager. Throughout the years, she has done major projects that boosted her career. Her onscreen tandem with her real-life boyfriend Enrique Gil is also a success.
However, after more than a decade, Liza is set to explore new opportunities in her career with a new manager. Ogie Diaz revealed in his recent Showbiz Update vlog that he and his “alaga” will separate ways and this will officially happen on May 31.
The comedian-talent manager said that they talked about this and Liza Soberano has done her “paalam” with respect.
“Magalang naman ‘yung bata, in fairness, at saka kilala mo naman ako; kapag happiness na ng tao ang concern, ibinibigay ko ‘yan. …Ang sini-save ko kasi ay ‘yung friendship. …Lagi ko ring sinasabi ‘yan kay Liza na hindi mo rin dapat pinuputol ang tulay,” Ogie shared.
He also said that in Liza’s message, she also shared her dream of entering the Hollywood scene. Ogie admitted that his knowledge in managing talents is not as proficient as the Hollywood level.
The talent manager also said that he has “utang na loob” towards Liza because the money he earned from managing her was used for his child Miracle. By this, Ogie said that there is no reason to have I’ll feelings towards the decision of the actress.
Ogie Diaz also revealed that Liza Soberano has already found a new manager. “Ipinakilala na niya sa amin ang bagong team na hahawak ng kanyang career. May bago na siyang management. Pero ako naman kumbaga ‘yung transition ay unti-unti ipinapasa na namin si Liza sa kanya at ‘yun ay walang iba kung hindi ang team ni James Reid,” he said.
Just recently, Liza and James were spotted together at a red-carpet event in the U.S.
