After a certain amount of time, Janry was able to save P650, 000 and used it to buy a 3.5-hectare lot of Cawayan, Masbate. It was his dream to buy land where he can build his house after quitting as a junk collector.

Unfortunately, Janry and his family have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic, which placed them under the poverty line. He was forced to pawn his land for P58, 000 just to provide for the necessities of his family.

Janry has only two years to redeem his land. The latter and his wife worked hard and even sold barbeques to save money. Alburo was able to save a lot of coins within two years.

Eventually, the junk collector was able to save almost P100, 000 and redeem his land.

However, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas warned the public that hoarding coins are now allowed because it may cause trouble in the circulation of Philippine currency.
