Suspect Successfully Escape After Shooting Vendor, Cops Arrest Him As He Returns to Crime Scene

The police authorities have arrested a suspect for shooting an innocent vendor in Taguig City after he returned to the crime scene.

Last May 2, 2022, an unidentified suspect shot an innocent vendor along Visayas Street, South Signal, Taguig City. The victim was just having his midnight snack when the incident happened, according to the witness.

The latter escaped using a bicycle. The victim has been declared dead-on-the spot after suffering from multiple gunshots. The 38-year-old vendor suffered four gunshot wounds from a .38 caliber firearm.

Taguig City police have launched an anti-crime operation after receiving reports of increasing crime rates in the area ten days after the incident. The cops spotted a suspicious man roaming around the area.

The police officers apprehended and arrested the suspect. They also recovered a .38 caliber gun from the gunman. The cops also discovered that he is also the suspect for killing the innocent vendor.

The suspect will face charges of illegal possession of firearms and violation election gun ban. According to Taguig police chief Police Colonel Robert Baesa, the witness confirmed the suspect’s identity.

“Kaya nahuli ito nagconduct ng anti-criminality driver yung ating intel doon sa Southville kasi may nakapag report sa amin. May holdap na report ditto sa area na ‘to. Nakita nila itong tao na to suspicious may nakabukol sa gilid, sinita ng intel nakita yung 38 na baril,” Baesa said.
