Recently, religious group Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) announced its support for the presidential bid of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and the vice-presidential bid of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Marcos Jr. broke his silence on the INC endorsement of the BBM-Sara bid. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the former Senator expressed his and his family’s gladness and gratitude over the endorsement of the religious group. According to him, it is a huge honor for him and Mayor Inday Sara that comes with the challenge to their capabilities to unite the Filipinos and get the country past the crisis caused by the pandemic.

In 2016, the INC also supported Marcos Jr. in his vice presidential bid but he lost the race. Outgoing Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was the presidential bet of the religious group then.
