MICHELLE DEE – Beauty queen-actress Michelle Dee has this statement after losing to Celeste Cortesi as this year’s winner.
Miss Universe Philippines 2022 winner is Celeste Cortesi Of Pasay. She’s the first winner to wear the new La Mer En Majeste crown of the pageant.
The other winners are:
2nd Runner-Up: Miss Taguig Katrina Llegado
1st Runner-Up: Miss Misamis Oriental Annabelle McDonnell
Miss Universe Philippines Charity 2022: Miss Bohol Pauline Cucharo Amelinckx
Miss Universe Philippines Tourism: Miss Makati City Michelle Dee
Among the strongest contenders of this year’s pageant is the actress and pageant veteran Michelle Dee. She was this year’s “Hakot Queen“. This is after she bagged the most awards during the preliminary competition.
She earned these awards:
- Miss Kumuniverse
- Miss Creamsilk
- Face of Essentials Belo
- Miss Jojo Bragais
- Miss Savepoint
- Miss The Medical City
She’s also Best In Evening Gown during the grand coronation night. She almost got the crown for being second as Miss Universe Philippines Tourism to her. Reacting to this, Dee expressed that it’s a well-deserved win for her friend.
That moment on stage, with just her and Cortesi left on the stage, was the one of the most intense moments of her life. She also said, “No one can take her destiny away from her because she is queen well-deserved and a true friend for that matter as well. Glad to have shared this moment with you just like we manifested.”
She acknowledged that both she and Cortesi gave their all and at the same time, they also knew only one could win. And as this chapter in her life ended, she feels nothing “but gratitude for the love, lessons and endless support I’ve received”. She even teased at the end, “who knows this might not be the last.”
