This is the price of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 new crown.
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2022 – “La Mer en Majesté” crown to be worn by this year’s winner has this whopping price.
The grand coronation night of this year’s Miss Universe Philippines pageant is just a couple of days away. And as we approach the coronation night, the organization unveiled a major surprise for us – a new crown for the new queen. The new crown will be put on the head of this year’s winner.
The exquisite crown is called La Mer en Majeste Crown or “The Sea Majesty” which was introduced to the public last April 19 during the pageant’s gala night. Jewelmer is the craftsman behind it and this piece is a “tribute to the vibrant culture and history of the Philippines.”
The crafter further explained the look of the crown, “In French, when the word ‘majesty’ is used with that of the sea, it evokes respect and admiration for the water element and its many wondrous qualities. The sea is both artist and muse, paying tribute to its mystery and nurturing power.”
La Mer en Majeste is adorned with several rare golden South Sea Pearls which symbolize miracle and purity. Each stroke is similar to the waves of the sea and since it is regarded as the “queen of elements”, the title is just befitting. It has a total of 17 nearly perfect golden South Sea pearls and each stroke is carefully encrusted with diamonds.
Aubrey Carampel for GMA News said that the crown costs Php 3 million.
Meanwhile, this year’s local pageant will be held at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena and the event will be hosted by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere, and Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Tebow. The reigning queen Beatrice Luigi Gomez will crown her successor on April 30.
The previous crown used was worth Php 5 million which was embedded with diamonds, gold South Sea pearls, a sapphire, ruby, and a topaz where each symbolizes significant factors and symbolism.
