Silvia Celeste Rabimbi Cortesi took home the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2022 during the pageant’s coronation night on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The event is arguable the most star-studded coronation night the country ever had.
The 24-year-old beauty queen from Pasay bested 31 other candidates to bring home her second crown from a national pageant. She first made her presence known through Miss Earth Philippines 2018 competition.
Celeste Cortesi won a slew of special awards including Best in Swimsuit and Ms. Photogenic. Her winning answer in the Q&A portion revealed the strong bond she shared with her mom.
Cortesi got the question, “If you could stop time for a day, how would you spend it?”
She answered, “If I could stop time, I would spend it with my family, especially my mother. It’s been two years since I haven’t spent time with my family because they live in Italy, and I came here in the Philippines just by myself. If I had a chance to spend one day, I would definitely be with my mom, and I would just tell her how much I love her and I miss her.”

Celeste Cortesi shared a new post on her official IG page. She mentioned her parents in her first post after winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 title. She said her mom and dad have been her source of strength during the MUPH coronation night. She then looked back on how she worked hard to win the title.
In the same post, Cortesi also left an inspiring message to her followers. She wrote, “I hope that with my story I can inspire so many to never give up on their dreams because thru hard work, perseverance and faith you can achieve anything you want.”
