NBI Agents Arrest Bugaw During Entrapment Operation & Rescued Over 16 Young Ladies
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested a ‘bugaw’ during an entrapment operation for endorsing 16 ladies in Laguna.
NBI agents have launched an entrapment operation against a suspected bugaw identified as John Paul Lopez at a resort in San Pablo, Laguna. The suspect has been arrested after receiving the marked money paid by an undercover agent.
Lopez has been caught counting the marked money given to him. The authorities have also rescued 16 female workers at a hotel room who were victims of online s3x trafficking. Three of the victims were still minors.
According to NBI, Lopez allegedly brings group of girls to his clients after making a ‘booking’ or transaction online. the suspect is posting his offer online to lure his female victims.
NBI-CC OIC Atty. Michelle Valdez, OIC said that the suspect would privately message the interested individuals after catching their attention.
“Gamit po an gating social media nagpo-post ho o nag-aadvertise po itong ating subject ng kanyang mga possible po na mga biktima at ino-offer niya poi to in public, so pagka mayroon pong interesado i-eengage po niya itong si subject at saka po sila lilipat in private messaging,” Valdez said.

NBI director Eric Distor said that the cybercrime division would inspect the suspect’s mobile phone to backtrack its previous transaction. They will also investigate if the suspect connived with other individuals to perform his illegal activity.
The suspect refused to give a statement regarding the incident. DOJ Secretary Menardo Guevarra will also implement stricter policies when using internet to minimize individuals who were using the social media to victimize minors.
