PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (March 28)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area would bring rains over parts of Mindanao while the rest of the country will have a fair weather condition.
On Monday (March 28, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been last spotted at 20 km northeast of Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur. The LPA is embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
The LPA and ITCZ are expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi. The ITCZ was expected to bring rainy condition over Mindanao region.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms is expected over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will also experience similar weather condition due to the easterlies.
Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said that the LPA has a slim chance of developing into a tropical storm.
“Itong low pressure area ay mababa pa rin ang tsansa na maging bagyo, at dahil dito sa araw na ito, may mga ulan tayong mararanasan sa bahagi ng Mindanao at sa Palawan,” Aurelio said.
The coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
The weather agency has also warned the public of possible flash floods or landslides during times of moderate to heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
