PAGASA Says PH Expects Hot & Humid Thursday w/ Chances of Light Rains

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (March 24)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines will experience hot and humid weather condition with chances of light rains.

On Thursday (March 24, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the northeasterly surface windflow will be affecting Northern Luzon.

The Northeasterly surface windflow will bring cloudy condition with light rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Benguet, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao and Mt. Province.

It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

The Easterlies / Localized Thunderstorms will bring same weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the province of Aurora, Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience similar weather condition. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, most parts of the country will experience hot and humid weather due to the easterlies. Possible rains are expected in the afternoon or evening.

“Dala pa rin po nito ‘yung mainit at maalinsangan na panahon lalong-lalo na po ‘yan sa tanghali at ‘yung mga tsansa ng pulo-pulong pag-ulan, pagkulog, pagkidlat sa dakong hapon at gabi,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. the remaining parts of the country will have a slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
