PAGASA Says Shear Line & Amihan to Affect PH Weather
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (February 26, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and shear line will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the shear line will be affecting the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon while the northeast monsoon affecting Northern Luzon and the rest of Central Luzon.
The shear line will bring cloudy weather condition with rains over Aurora and Quezon. Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Caraga.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and the rest of central Luzon as well as Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
The localized thunderstorms are expected to bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms and due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern Luzon, eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The rest of the archipelago will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
