PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (February 25)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the trough of a low-pressure area will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Friday (February 25, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA’s trough is expected to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the trough of Low Pressure Area will be affecting Mindanao while the Shear line affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon.

The shear line is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora. The LPA’s trough is expected to bring the same weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Mindanao.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition due to the localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to frequent moderate rains and during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon as well as eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

PAGASA also reported that no tropical cyclones are expected to enter the country until the end of February.
