PAGASA Says Shear Line & LPA’s Trough to Affect PH Weather

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line and low-pressure area’s trough will bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of the country.

On Wednesday (February 23, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The LPA’s trough and the shear line will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Shear Line will be affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas. The Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

The trough of Low Pressure Area/Shear Line will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Caraga, Davao Region, Aklan, Capiz, Quezon, and Aurora.

The amihan is also expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over Cgayan Valley. Those weather systems may cause possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The northeast monsoon is also expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience similar weather condition.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern and central Luzon, eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country.
