PAGASA Says Various Weather Systems to Affect PH Weather
The state weather update PAGASA reported that various weather condition will prevail over most parts of the country.
On Monday (February 21, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Different weather system will affect the country’s weather condition.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy weather condition with rains over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Aurora. Southern Palawan, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN and Davao Region will experience similar weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Apayao. Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon as well as northern Samar will experience the same weather condition.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. A low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility is not expected to reach the country’s landmass.
“Ito pong low pressure area na ito ay nakikita po natin na hindi na po lalapit pa sa ating kalupaan. Ngunit asahan po natin na magdudulot po ‘yung trough nito ng kalat-kalat na pag-ulan sa bahagi ng Mindanao,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
Possible flash floods or landslides are expected due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon, and the eastern section of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough.
The remaining parts of the country will have slight tp moderate surrounding sea conditions.
