PAGASAS Says LPA to Bring Rainy Condition Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area and shear line will bring cloudy to rainy condition over parts of the Philippines.

On Thursday (January 27, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and LPA will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the low-pressure area has been last spotted at 190 km South Southwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The Shear Line will be affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon.

PAGASA

The low-pressure area will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon.

“Nananatili na mababa ang tsansa nito na maging bagyo pero dahil sa LPA inaasahan ngayong araw ang pag-ulan sa ilang bahagi ng Southern Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will experience similar weather condition. The LPA is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday or Friday.

PAGASA

Partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country would experience the same weather condition due to the easterlies / localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of central Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country would have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
