PWD Man Using Skateboard to Pass Streets Breaks Hearts of Netizens

The heartbreaking photos of a PWD man using a skateboard to pass along the streets elicit reactions online.

Previously, the Commission on Human Rights has expressed its concern towards Persons with Disability after the photo of a disabled person climbing a stairway goes viral after it was posted on social media.

The PWD guy seems to be struggling to climb the tall stairway at Recto Station of the Light Rail Transit-Line 2. The security personnel and train marshalls in the area carry his wheelchair ahead of him.

CHR wants to provide an accessible transportation with functioning facilities for the disabled people. The agency wants to create an environment that will ensure the wellness of PWDs in the country

“We remind the State of its commitment to uphold the rights of Persons with Disabilities, as embodied in the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons, including providing support and creating an environment that will ensure their rehabilitation, self-development, and self-reliance so they may live freely and as independent as possible,” CHR said in a statement.

Recently, the Facebook page “Philippine Star” has shared the heartbreaking photos of a PWD man using a skateboard to move along the town. The photos circulate online and garnered various reactions from the social media users.

In the photos, it can be that the disabled man is using a skateboard to move across the city. The person has no both legs and wearing a slipper on his left hand to assist his move on the skateboard.
