Update on LTO Central Office, 6 Other Offices’ Temporarily Closure

LTO CENTRAL OFFICE – The main office and six (6) other offices of the Land Transportation Office are temporarily closed starting today, January 11.

Among the busiest government offices in the Philippines is the Land Transportation Office. More commonly called by the public in its abbreviation, LTO, it has several sub-offices across the nation. Its main office is in Quezon City.

Daily, there are usually hundreds of people coming to LTO offices to apply or renew their driver’s license, to have their vehicles registered, to pay for a traffic violation and get their license, etc. Thus, they moved for disinfection following some of their staff contracting COVID-19.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the LTO Central Office and six (6) other offices of the government agency are temporarily closed starting today, January 11, 2022, until January 14, 2022.

According to the report, disinfection procedures will be done on the temporarily closed LTO Central Office and six (6) other offices and also to give way for their COVID-19 positive personnel to really undergo the right and sufficient quarantine protocols. Those they have close contact with will also be under quarantine. The following are the offices that will be temporarily closed:

  • LTO NCR East
  • LTO Regional Office
  • LTO Diliman District Office
  • LTO Quezon City Licensing Office
  • LTO Quezon City Licensing Renewal Office
  • LTO North Motor Vehicle Inspection Center
  • LTO PUV Vehicle Registration Center

With regards to the other offices that were not mentioned above, LTO said that they remain operational. Currently, Metro Manila is under Alert Level 3 and stricter restrictions are also implemented in several cities. Some cities are reimposing curfew and the mayors in the capital region also agreed to temporarily limit the movements of the unvaccinated individuals.
