PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update For Monday (January 3)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the amihan and the shear line will bring cooler weather over some parts of the country.

On Monday (January 3, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and the northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Shear Line will be affecting the eastern sections of Mindanao. Northeast Monsoon will affect the rest of Mindanao.

The Shear Line and the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Caraga, Davao Region and Northern Mindanao.

Central Visayas and the provinces of Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte will experience similar weather condition.

It would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Samar, Biliran, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Rest of Mindanao.

Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar will experience similar weather condition. Bicol Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will have lightrains due to the monsoon.

The monsoon will also bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and of Visayas.

The weather agency also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire archipelago will be moderate to rough. PAGASA also raised a gale warning over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, seaboards of Southern Luzon Luzon and Visayas; and the northern, western, and eastern seaboards of Mindanao.
