PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (December 28)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the ITCZ and shear line will affect the weather condition over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (December 28, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone and shear line will affected the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the shear line will be affecting Visayas and northeastern Mindanao while the Intertropical Convergence Zone will affect Palawan and the rest of Mindanao.
“Ngayong araw ng Martes, asahan ang pag-ulan sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa dulot ng iba’t ibang weather systems,” Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said.
The shear line will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, central Visayas, Caraga, northern Mindanao, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Aklan, and Capiz.
The ITCZ will bring similar weather condition over Palawan and the rest of Mindanao with possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
The northeast monsoon will bring the same weather over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, and the rest of MIMAROPA and Bicol Region.
The Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon as well as the rest of Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the eastern section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the rest the country.
