ABS-CBN respects the career decision of Julius Babao
Seasoned broadcaster Julius Babao signed off as a Kapamilya last December 31 and ABS-CBN released a statement regarding his decision to leave the network.
Julius has spent 28 years of his life doing investigative reports, hosting, and being a news anchor of the media giant. However, before 2021 ended, he bid goodbye to his home network for almost three decades.
“It is the last day of 2021 and it is also my last day in ABS-CBN,” Julius said in his vlog about his final day as a Kapamilya. Based on the article in The Philippines Star, the seasoned broadcaster did his final broadcast on TeleRadyo Balita on January 2.
“Hindi po ito pagpapaalam kundi isang pahayag ng pasasalamat sa lahat ng aking mga naging Kapamilya sa loob ng 28 taon,” he said. He also acknowledges the fact that he grew up in the Kapamilya network, career-wise, and he was able to have various opportunities through the network when it comes to his profession.
Through ABS-CBN, he also met his wife Christine Babao and he was able to help many people in the Philippines through his programs. In a statement that was released by the Kapamilya network regarding this, the network acknowledges the contributions of Julius Babao in the industry.
The TV network also expressed that it respects the decision of the seasoned broadcaster to seek other opportunities outside the company that became his home for two decades and eight years.

“Julius began his career in broadcast journalism at ABS-CBN, where he embodied the company’s mission of service for 28 years by reporting on important national issues and events, producing unflinching exposés of abuses that benefited the helpless, and serving Filipinos in need of various types of assistance through his TV and radio programs. We respect his decision to pursue his professional career outside of ABS-CBN and wish him well in his future pursuits.“
Reportedly, Julius Babao will transfer to TV5 where his wife has been working for quite a while now. It was also said that he will be the replacement of Raffy Tulfo, who is running for Senator in the 2022 election, in the program Frontline Pilipinas. Julius and Christine have not released any statement yet regarding this.
