Immigration Deported Over 3,000 Undesirable Foreign Nationals in the Philippines
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has deported over 3,000 undesirable foreign nationals allegedly illegally residing in the Philippines.
According to BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, more than 3,000 undesirable In the first 11 months of this year, the Immigration Department deported foreigners back to their home countries. According to Morente, the Philippine government deported 3,143 immigrants to their home countries since the majority of them were implicated in various crimes.

Others, he added, were overstaying their visas and were found to have broken the country’s existing visa rules. According to the article, many of them were arrested for being fugitives from justice, unwanted, or overstaying their visas.
According to him, the most of them are Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Americans. He went on to say that individuals who were sent back to their home countries had been blacklisted and would not be allowed to return to the Philippines.
“The pandemic will not be a hindrance in cleansing our country of these illegal aliens,” said Morente.
“Foreigners who blatantly violate our laws will be deported and blacklisted,” he added.
Meanwhile, Immigration recently reiterated its request that foreigners avoid meddling in the country’s politics. Foreign nationals are not allowed to participate in partisan political activities in the country, according to Morente.
Permanent residents are not allowed to participate in such activities, according to Morente, because they do not have the same political rights and advantages as Filipino citizens. He cautioned that foreigners who “interfere in the domestic affairs of the Philippines as a sovereign nation” will be treated harshly.
