Alex and Toni Gonzaga MMFF 2021 Film 1st Day Earning Php 7,500 Only?

Is it true that “The ExorSis” film of Alex and Toni Gonzaga earned this small amount on the first day?

TONI GONZAGA – “The ExorSis” film of Alex and Toni Gonzaga accordingly earned Php 7,500.00 on the first day of this year’s film festival.

The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has been pushed through this year after quarantine protocols for the entire country have loosened and allowed cinemas to open again. However, despite the Holiday vibe and being MMFF already a traditional part of this season, it seems like this year, it faced a flop.

Fans and moviegoers were nowhere to be seen and the cinemas, unlike before, lack long lines and a jam-packed audience. Accordingly, the moviegoers cited the lack of child-friendly flicks has caused this year’s film festival a slow start. Also, other factors included restrictions to eat inside the theaters and the rainy weather.

The film festival will run until Jan 7, 2022. Last year, the MMFF turned to digital viewing because of the pandemic and it was just this year that MMFF went back to movie houses. And now, days after the cinemas opened, some netizens online claimed that “The ExorSis”, the movie of Alex and Toni Gonzaga earned little during the first day.

A netizen online said that the film earned Php 7,500.00 only on the first day of its screening.
