Esnyr Opens Up About the Man Who Left Him Completely Heartbroken
ESNYR – While many admired the success of First Day High, few knew that Esnyr was silently battling one of the toughest moments of his life behind the scenes.
Content creator and former PBB Celebrity Collab Edition housemate Esnyr opened up about one of the most painful chapters of his life, revealing how a heartbreaking breakup left him emotionally shattered while he was working on one of his biggest creative projects.
During the recent Star Magic Spotlight Press Conference, where he appeared alongside his close friend Bianca de Vera, Esnyr candidly shared that he and his former boyfriend ended their relationship just as production for his high school-themed YouTube series First Day High was getting underway. The series premiered on June 14, 2026, making the emotional timing even more difficult for the Kapamilya artist.
Looking back on that period, Esnyr admitted how deeply the separation affected him.
“I lost it. Parang may time, may era na nawalan ako ng puso sa mga bagay. At ewan ko, parang nawala ako sa right path, sa right track ng life ko. Sobrang nasaktan po ako.”
Despite carrying the weight of a fresh heartbreak, Esnyr refused to let his personal struggles derail a project that he and his team had worked tirelessly to prepare.
“Kasi, lalo na po yun na ginagawa po namin yung First Day High at that time, and then sobrang fresh pa ng breakup, mga day two out of 17 days (ng shooting para sa First Day High).
“So, parang sabi ko that time, ‘Sasayangin ko ba lahat ng pre-prod namin, lahat ng ginastos ko, lahat ng effort, lahat ng passion and fire ko sa project na ‘to just because of the temporary na nangyari sa buhay ko?’
“Kaya, I’m proud of myself nga po for showing up, for showing up every day,” he shared.
The experience eventually inspired Esnyr to focus on rebuilding himself instead of dwelling on the failed relationship. He said he now pours more of his energy into his art, career, friendships, and personal growth.
“I think this is the season of my life to rebuild myself, to pour the love sa art ko, sa craft ko, more than iubos ko siya sa pagmamahal sa maling tao.
“Parang nare-reminder na rin po ako to bond with my friends, ganyan. O, wag ganyang-ganyan ha? Wag niyo kalimutan yung friends niyo along the way.”
He also revealed that he has embraced a more active lifestyle by trying new hobbies, including running and different sports, while learning to appreciate the people who have consistently supported him.
“Nagta-try na ako ng mga things na hindi ko pa na-try before. Nagiging active na ako. Nagiging runner, lahat ng sports sinusubukan, ganyan.
“And at the same time, mas bina-value ko na po kung sino yung mga nandiyan for me, lalo na po yung management ko, Star Magic, lahat ng mga projects na binibigay nila sa akin.
“I’d say hindi pa po yun yung pinaka-best ko talaga pero sobrang na-happy po ako na naitawid namin siya (First Day High). Kasi ikaw, niloko ka, matatawid mo ba? Charot!” he joked.
Reflecting on the lessons he gained after the breakup, Esnyr said the experience reminded him that genuine love is never wasted.
“Sobrang happy ko din na, na-realize ko ngayon na I am the love that I give.
“Parang hindi ko siya kawalan kasi, at the end of the day, I am genuine to what I give sa mga tao, and hindi ka talo kapag nagmamahal ka. There’s more to life than love,” he said.
Esnyr also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Vice Ganda and Bianca de Vera, who became his pillars of support while he was recovering emotionally.
“Sabi pa ni Meme Vice, ‘Ang daming taong uubusin ka, wag ka lang magpaubos.’ Kaya yun pinakahugot ko. Sabi ko, ‘Okay, it’s peace,’” he recalled.
He went on to praise Bianca for standing by him during his lowest moments, sharing that her unexpected phone call and comforting advice gave him the strength to move forward. Ending the story on a lighter note, Esnyr laughed as he recalled Bianca jokingly asking, “Ate, I’m here for you. May five hundred ka ba diyan?” drawing laughter from everyone at the press conference.
