Some of their classic and famous Kwentong Jollibee short films are entitled Vow, Crush, and Date. And for this year, stepping up a bar higher, they made a short film.]
With an attack similar to films like “When Harry Met Sally” and “Before Sunrise” where dialogue and a simple venue are used to induce “kilig”, the “One True Pair” short film was achieved. And what’s even best about it is that they are to reunite John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, one of the best love teams in the country. The last time people have seen him together was in the 2015 film A Second Chance.
In the short film, they still have chemistry and one can really see how comfortable they are working with each other. Also, the dialogue they have recited is close to the real happenings that happened in their lives in the past few years. At press time, One True Pair the Movie has drawn over 1.3 million views and is at no. 10 on the YouTube trending list.
And the OTP director, working with one of the best love teams and actors in the show business has revealed something. Accordingly, working with them was more like a collaboration rather than direction. He said that they don’t have to push it hard to extract their chemistry but it just happens effortlessly.
He said, “Andun ako to guide them na lang. Kasi wala, e, ang galing na nung dalawa. Parang andito lang ako to guide them, kumbaga. Totoo! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!”
“Tapos, kapag nagte-take na, pag nanonood ako dun sa monitor, minsan nakakalimutan ko nang mag-cut. Kasi, ang ganda na ng flow nung conversation. Na parang pati ako, ‘Ang galing! Ang ganda!’ So, ayun,” he added based on a report from PEP.
