SM City Fairview Viral After Denying Entry To Those Without Vaccine

SM CITY FAIRVIEW – As the Faceshield mandate was dropped, shoppers were surprised to see a no vaccine no entry policy in SM City Fairview.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, face masks and face shields have been the standard policy when it comes to basic COVID-19 protocols. However, President Rodrigo Duterte recently announced face shields are now optional.

SM No Vaccine No Entry Policy In Fairview Goes Viral

This means that people could finally go inside public establishments such as malls without using face shields. But, some malls already implemented an additional precaution against COVID-19.

Recently, a netizen went viral on social media after she posted a TikTok of SM City Fairview preventing unvaccinated shoppers from going inside. On her video, a large “No Vaccine, No Entry” caption could be seen.

She also said: “Hindi naman sa ayaw magpa vaccine. Peru bat ganto?”.

“Alam mo pag wala kang vaccine, huwag ka nang pumasok”, the person taking the video said. Apparently, the video was taken as SM Fairview, Novaliches.

Now, netizens are debating whether or not malls could have such a policy to deny shoppers from entering. In the Philippines, there is still a large percentage of people who don’t want to get vaccinated.

However, some netizens said that if a person has a right to not get vaccinated, private establishments should also hold the right to deny their entry for the safety of their patrons.

Here are some of the comments regarding the video:

No offense, pero I think tama lang yan. Unless may underlying conditions like allergy or what not. Pero ang dami ng available na vaccines ngayon eh. Di ko pa din magets yung ibang tao na ayaw magpabakuna, kesyo natatakot daw sa side effects.

It’s private property, they can allow/disallow whoever they want. Hope they follow suit with all their Malls and Supermarkets. Since people love going to malls, make it a bonus to getting vaccinated to be allowed to go there.

Ang dami nang supply ng vaccine ngayon so wala kayong dahilan para hindi kumuha unless may immuno deficiency kayo.
