Schedule of Holiday Break for School Year 2021-2022 Released by DepEd
The Department of Education (DepEd) released the holiday break for school year 2021-2022 in accordance with Order No. 29.
On Saturday (October 30, 2021), the Education Department released the holiday breaks based on Order No. 29, series of 2021. The holiday break has been announced to give students an opportunity to celebrate the Christmas Season.
DepEd announced the holidays break will start from December 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022. The current school year is scheduled to end on June 24, 2021.
Earlier this week, President Rodrigo Duterte declared November 2, December 24, and December 31, 2021 as working days to help the Filipino people cope with the economic crisis due to the effects of the coronavirus disease.
President Duterte has also approved Proclamation 1235 declaring All Soul’s Day (November 2), Christmas Eve (December 24), and the last day of the year (December 31) as special working days.
The proclamation listed 10 regular holidays and six special non-working days in the country. It is the second straight year that those dates were declared as public holidays.

Samantala, ayon sa DepEd Order No. 29, s. 2021, holiday break naman para sa mga paaralan ang mga araw mula Disyembre 20, 2021 hanggang Enero 2, 2022.”
