Netizen Discovers Holes at Graves Inside Cemetery in Davao de Oro

A concerned netizen discovered holes at the graves inside the public cemetery in Maragusan, Davao de Oro upon visiting his dad’s resting place.

A resident named Eduard Ellorin Jr.  has visited the grave of his father a few days after its burial. He was shocked after he noticed a hole on his father’s resting place and decided to check the other graves.

Ellorin also discovered holes to at least 10 graves inside the cemetery. He discovered the illegal activity in the cemetery upon visiting his dad’s grave to prepare tent and other needs for “Pa Siyam”.

Eduard said that nothings gone missing from his father’s valuables and belongings. He does not have an idea regarding the motives of the suspects for digging a hole.

However, some netizens commented that the culprits took “tuway-tuway” or knee cap, which were used as an “Amulet”. Eduard also notice the holes have been made near the feet portion of the corpses.

The latter also advised the public to visit their departed loves ones at the cemeteries and check their graves. “Panawagan ko lang sa mga kamag-anak na bisitahin ang nitso ng kanilang mga mahal sa buhay,” Eduard said.

He netizen also asked the authorities to check and monitor the cemeteries especially during the upcoming Undas season. Maragusan Municipal Police would also investigate the incident.
