Cops Manning Checkpoint in Pasig City Arrested Motorcycle Rider After Shooting Them
The apprehension of a motorcycle rider in a checkpoint in Pasig City turned into a shootout after the suspect pulls a gun and shoot them.
One of the two motorcycle riders who allegedly exchange fire with police at the checkpoint has been apprehended by Pasig City Police. The altercation erupted after a police officer stationed at a checkpoint flagged them down due to a traffic violation.

Jayson Trinidad, 42, of No.74 Catalino St, Brgy Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, was the arrested, according to Pasig City police commander Col. Roman Arugay. Alex Almojuela, 37, a resident of Purok Yakal St. Bernardo St. Brgy Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City, was Trinidad’s friend who escaped.
According to a Pasig substation 6 report, two suspects riding in tandem on a black Yamaha N-Max motorcycle without a license plate. They were flagged down at a checkpoint in Pasig City’s Brgy. Palatiw, at the intersection of San Agustin St. and E. Santos St.
When the suspects stopped, the back rider suspect drew a revolver and pointed it at P/Cpl Joselito Saygo, who also quickly pulled out a gun and shot Trinidad in the leg. Almojuela, the motorcycle driver, was hit in the body by P/SSgt Bruzo but managed to flee.
Because there was blood at the scene of the crime, the cops established that they had also hit the perpetrator. The culprit was captured, and the evidence was taken to the police station for examination.
