Family in Capiz Learned They Mourned for the Wrong Person After 3 Days
PILAR, CAPIZ – A family mourned for three days as their relative died but was shocked when they later learned it was the wrong person.
A family was squandering tears for over three days with a person who is not blood-related to them due to a funeral home’s mistake in Pilar, Capiz. This occurred after the funeral home, which had been in charge of their relative’s remains, brought in a lone individual.

According to the victim’s brother, they sobbed and mourned for three days over the body of a family member who had died, knowing it was not the actual one. When they put the corpse’s face on their relative’s face, however, they saw that the contour of the corpse’s face was different.
As a result, they went to the funeral home to inquire about the situation. According to their story, when they enquired about the funeral home in Balasan, Iloilo, where their departed relative’s body was delivered, it was confirmed that they had received the wrong body.
Their relative’s true body was still in the funeral home waiting to be brought home. It was discovered that the mistaken corpse was from Iloilo’s Lemery town, according to the report.
Due to the complaint, the body was quickly replaced by the funeral home. The family buried their relative on Thursday morning. The family plans to take legal action against the funeral home.
