Here is the rumored reason behind why the sitcom of John Lloyd Cruz with GMA won’t be pushed through.
JOHN LLOYD CRUZ – A-list actor John Lloyd Cruz has an upcoming project with GMA but it won’t be happening anymore based on the rumors.
Through Maja Salvador’s management company – the Crown Artist Management – award-winning actor John Lloyd Cruz returns under a new management company. He first appeared in the GMA network with the permission of ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak.
Accordingly, one of the projects in the works for him is a sitcom with Kapuso actress Andrea Torres. GMA Network board director, programming consultant to the chair/CEO of GMA Network, and GMA Films president Annette Gozon-Valdes said in a previous article that the actor has no other contractual obligations anymore following his indefinite leave.
It has been several months already since Lloydie made an appearance in GMA. Will his sitcom with the Kapuso network be still pushed through? A source of PEP has revealed that it won’t accordingly be happening anymore. As per the grapevine, it’s because of some conflicts they have encountered regarding the budget. However, it was not detailed if it’s about the budget for production or the talent fee of the actor.
Meanwhile, when Bea Alonzo’s transfer to GMA became official, the actor was among the first people who welcomed her. She even joked about wanting to appear in his sitcom but nothing has been heard since about it. Willie Revillame allegedly backed out of doing the project with the actor because he did something that’s unpleasant to him and to the bosses of the network.
