Roque Sorry For Outburst Against Doctors In Leaked Viral Video
ROQUE SORRY FOR OUTBURST – Recently, a video was uploaded on social media showing Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque fuming at a doctors’ group.
This stemmed from the group expressing that they were against the governments’ decision to lax lockdown restrictions amid a surge in COVID-19 cases. As a response to the group’s statements, Roque quickly shifted to a raging tone and said:
“Itong group na to, they have never said anything good about government response!“
But, due to the nature of Roque’s response, the spokesperson has received massive flack on social media. As such, he earlier apologized for getting “emotional”.
However, he emphasized that his message was on behalf of all the people who experienced hunger amid the lockdowns. According to an article from Inquirer, he said:
Yung mga na-offend po sa manner, I apologize. Kung na-offend po kayo sa manner. But the message remains clear, kinakailangan naman po pakinggan rin natin ‘yung mga hanay na nagugutom..
Unang-una po, kinukumpirma ko po na tayo ay naging emosyonal, at pasensya naman po kayo tao lamang, doon sa rekomendasyon ng dalawang doctor na mag-impose ng hard ECQ lockdown
Supposedly, Metro Manila and surrounding areas were to be placed under a general community quarantine with granular lockdowns. But, this was recalled and the modified enhanced community quarantine was extended instead.
