Roque Throws Tantrum Against Doctor Group As They Opposed Easing Lockdowns

ROQUE THROWS TANTRUM – Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque appeared to throw fits during the latest IATF online meeting.

Despite Roque’s #KalmaAkoLangTo posts on Facebook, Roque recently appeared to lose his cool. Netizens shared a clip of Roque’s rant and made it viral. In the video, you could see Roque passionately defending the government from a group of doctors.

According to some netizens, Roque appeared to have “blew his top”. After facing criticism from members of the medical field, Roque explained that the government was “thinking about the economic ramifications”.

Following this, Roque emphasized that this group of doctors “have never said anything good about government response!”. Here is the video clip uploaded on social media site, Reddit:

Since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, members of the medical industry have called out the government for their lapses in their COVID-19 responses. Among the prevalent issues involved health chief Francisco Duque III.

Additionally, the Senate also cited concerns about overpriced Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs). But, Roque defended the government’s purchases made through Pharmally.

Furthermore, the government’s decision to lower restrictions amid surges in COVID-19 cases also faced harsh criticism. But, much like 2020, the Philippines continues to go through several levels of lockdowns.

However, according to health undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire, these lockdowns are merely a way to delay the surge. Moreover, she cited that the Philippines is expected to see more cases.
