PAGASA Raises Signal No. 3 In Some Areas As Typhoon Kiko Threatens to Make a Landfall

The state weather agency PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 3 in these areas due to Typhoon Kiko.

On Friday (September 10, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest update regarding Typhoon Kiko. The tropical cyclone is expected to make a landfall today.

PAGASA reported that Typhoon Kiko has maximum sustained winds of 185 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 230 kph moving 20 kph at a northwestward direction. It has a central pressure of 935 hPa.

Kiko has been last spotted at 235 km east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora and heading towards Babuyan Islands-Batanes area. It is expected to pass the coastal waters of northeastern Cagayan this afternoon or evening.

The weather agency has also raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals in various parts of the country as Kiko threatens to make a possible landfall over the Cagayan area.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Jolina has already leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility after ravaging several parts of the country. Jolina causes inclement weather condition resulting massive flooding in some areas.
