One of the ladies who topped the latest interview challenge of the Miss Universe PH pageant is Beatrice Luigi Gomez, the lady representing Cebu City. Also, she became went viral when she left people abuzz after being open about her long-time girlfriend who she smoothly slipped into her answer.

Beatrice Luigi Gomez, in her introduction statement, shares that she is already 26 years old. She loves sports and volleyball is the one on top of her list. She added that she’s a beach person, does scuba diving, loves working out, and in most of the things she does, doing them with her is her long-time girlfriend. They have a cat they named Twix.

In a few months, they will be marking their 7th year and she left netizens abuzz for being so proud of this part of her life. It’s seldom people meet a woman, who has a girlfriend, joining pageants. Also, they commend her for that, given how some people ridicule this type of relationship.

One question asked to her was, if she’ll grab the chance to live for 200 years or not. She’s positive and responded “yes” because having an extension of time to live technically means having much time to do all the things that she wants.

Do you think that being a role model gives the people the right to know everything about your personal life?

“I believe they only need to see the goodness in me and not literally everything, especially not my personal life. But they just have to filter out the things that they can learn from.”

How has the pandemic challenged you?

“The pandemic really did challenge especially my mental health in the past year. And this year, I struggled a lot and I wanted to overcome all of those weaknesses especially my social anxiety. I had overcome it in Binibining Cebu and when we were in a lockdown, I was forced to retract from society again and now I’m glad to be able to be in front of everyone again through Miss Universe Philippines.”
