Pres. Duterte Speaks on Plan Over Vice Presidency Bid
DUTERTE – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte cited what he will do to the whole government if he will win as vice president in the next term.
After several months of public speculations about the political plans of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte after he will step down in 2022, the 76-year-old Chief Executive moved to put an end to queries. He confirmed that he will run for vice president next election.
It was his party mates in PDP-Laban who were among the firsts people to urge the President to take the vice presidential bid next year. Previously, he expressed that he is planning to retire and just go home to Davao City after his term as president ends.
Previously, there were calls for a Duterte-Duterte tandem together with his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. The President was vocal about his disapproval for his daughter to take the presidential bid.
However, amid his confirmation run for vice president, he expressed that he will withdraw his bid in case his daughter will run for the highest position in the government next election.

Recently, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte spoke about his plan in case he will win the vice presidential race in Election 2022. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Chief Executive revealed that he plans to audit the “whole government”
According to Pres. Duterte, he will audit including the Commission on Audit (COA), the “sole external auditor” of the Philippine government. He stressed that he will start auditing his office first if he wins vice president.
The statement of the President came following the issues between the Department of Health (DOH) and COA. The President defended the health department and he also stressed that it would really be hard for a government agency to comply right away considering the situation now.
