Yordenis Ugas Thanks Manny Pacquiao for the Opportunity
YORDENIS UGAS – The Cuban boxing champion took to social media a message for Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao after their fight.
Yesterday, Filipino boxing champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao once again set foot on the ring in the pursuit to give another honor to the Philippines. He fought against Yordenis Ugas for the Cuban boxing champ’s super WBA Welterweight belt.
The Pacquiao-Ugas fight was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. It gathered a lot of spectators not only in the arena but in their homes. Many were excited to witness another huge fight on the boxing field.
However, many Filipinos were saddened as Pacquiao lost the fight. Ugas defended his title via a unanimous decision from the three (3) judges.
It is no secret to the public that the original fight of Manny Pacquiao is not against Yordenis Ugas. He was set to fight against Errol Spence Jr. but the American boxer met an eye injury that made him decide not to pursue the fight. It was only a few weeks before the match when the change of opponent took place.
Despite the loss, truth be told that Pacquiao has given the Philippines so much honor with his success in the boxing field. Even Ugas is grateful for the chance to have shared the ring with the Filipino boxing champ. They finished the 12 rounds and undeniably gave a great fight.

After their fight, Yordenis Ugas took to social media a message for Manny Pacquiao. He expressed his gratitude to Pacman for the opportunity and stressed that the Filipino boxing champ is still one of the best fights in boxing history.
Ugas stressed having “much respect” for Pacman. He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him and his hope that he and Pacman gave the audience a great fight. Here’s his post on Twitter:
